Learn About Bayou Lofts
The Bayou Lofts building was originally constructed in 1910 as the Southern Pacific Railroad Building. It wasn't until the late 1990's that 915 Franklin received a renovation and was converted into the Bayou Loft units featured today.
Despite the fact that there are 108 unique units in the building, each loft unit at Bayou Lofts boasts unique and vibrant standard features such as exposed brick, original tile hallways and hardwood floors.
The Bayou Lofts building is located one block from Allen’s Landing (the founding site of Houston) and serves as a cornerstone to Houston’s Historic District, and is situated very close to Hermann Lofts and Franklin Lofts.
The area around Bayou Lofts has a casual and fun feel. In fact, newcomers are often surprised at how much of a neighborhood feel they find in the Market Square area by which Bayou Lofts is located. Many weekends will feature festivals and a farmer's market sale in the area.
Bayou Lofts is in one of the oldest sections of Houston, and thus retains a sense of history that's almost impossible to ignore. The city of Houston's downtown area is ripe for exploration -- all right outside of your door at Bayou.
The Franklin Street Coffee Shop is located inside the building, bustling with excitement throughout the day, and Bayou Lofts is within blocks of the METRORail, the Houston Theatre District, sports arenas and the many restaurants and eateries that call Downtown Houston home.
It's a wonderful place to live as dining, shopping, and cultural experiences are all within a short walk.
The size of the lofts at Bayou range from 700 to over 2000 square feet and prices span from $170,000 to $700,000.
