Lakeforest of Kelliwood, Kelliwood Lakes, and Lakes of Buckingham Kelliwood has waterfront homes. Kelliwood Courts, Kelliwood Greens, and Fairways at Kelliwood, Kelliwood Links have golf courses. These subdivisions also have homes located near the Willow Fork Country Club.

On average, Kelliwood homes offer 4- to 5-bedroom floor plans, with home sizes ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 square feet. Some most expensive homes in Greater Katy are within the Lakeforest of Kelliwood. These have 5 to 6 bedrooms and more than 8,000 square feet of living space.

Kelliwood Katy History


Master-planned communities in Greater Katy emerged in the 1980s. It includes some of the bigger developments in the area today. These are Cinco Ranch, Green Trails, and Kelliwood.

Earlier, the majority of the area was rural. Farms and working cattle ranches occupied most of the west of Houston and south of the city of Katy. Several factors brought development into the area. It includes easier access to Houston via Interstate 10 and the demand for more housing.

Kickerillo Companies, headed by Vincent Kickerillo, developed several Houston area homes and communities. It includes Kelliwood and Lakes of Parkway.

Kickerillo named the subdivision development project in east Katy after his daughter Kelli. Each subdivision offered something a bit different. Some areas showcased lakes, while others were along a golf course.

Today, Kelliwood homes still offer great value. Top schools, employment opportunities, business hubs, and its prime location made it popular.


Fun Things To Do Near Kelliwood


Kelliwood provides residents with unique amenities. to suit different tastes. The neighborhood features parks, swimming pools, lakes, tennis courts, playgrounds, and trails.

George Bush Park, a 7,800-acre park, is near Kelliwood. The park has sports facilities (soccer, softball, and baseball), parks, playgrounds, and trails. The park also features a field for flying a plane.

Some luxury subdivisions in Kelliwood each have a central lake. Residents can enjoy their non-motorized watercraft, such as paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes. Residents enjoy access to Willow Fork Country Club's golf course in other subdivisions.

The private country club has a golf course, different facilities, and amenities. Non-members of the club can rent the club’s facilities for functions and events. Cinco Ranch and the Meadowbrooks Farm Country Club have daily-fee Golf Clubs.
