Named after the great Houston philanthropist George Henry Hermann, the 32-unit Hermann Lofts is one of Downtown’s first historic conversion projects.
CONVERTED LOFT: Formerly known as George Hermann Estate Building, Hermann Lofts was built in 1917 and was converted into a residential condo in 1997. The building housed cotton-related businesses until 1958 and served as the headquarters of the Salvation Army until 1975. With its rich history, the building was included in the National Register of Historic Places list.
