One of Houston’s Best Gated Communities, Arlington Terrace is a small residential enclave nestled just east of Memorial Park and and south of Memorial Drive.
Nestled in between two of Houston’s most expensive and established neighborhoods Crestwood and Glen Cove, Arlington Court is a relatively small gated subdivision directly east of Memorial Park.
Made up of just 67 homes, Arlington Terrace sits just south of Memorial Drive. A controlled access residents-only entrance is located along Crestwood Drive.
The community is bordered by Crestwood and Glen Cove (section 3) to the north, Glen Cove (section 1) and Crestwood acres to the south, and Memorial Park to the west.
Arlington Terrace homes have easy access to main roads and freeways, including Interstate 10, Loop 610, and Washington Avenue. Key districts are all within a short drive away, including downtown Houston (>5 miles), the Galleria (about 4 miles), and Greenway Plaza (4 miles).
Dining and entertainment hubs are also minutes away, particularly within the Rice Military/Washington Avenue area. Restaurants, cafes, stores, and nightlife options line Washington Avenue. The Galleria area, on the other hand, also offers multiple retail, dining, and entertainment options.

Arlington Terrace mostly features 4- to 5-bedroom properties, with living spaces ranging from 3,500 to more than 5,000 square feet. Some feature swimming pools, media/game rooms, formal dining rooms, covered patios, and luxury finishes and furnishings.
Compared to nearby Glen Cove and Crestwood, Arlington Terrace homes feature smaller lots, averaging around 6,500 square feet.
Home styles in the gated subdivision mostly lean toward traditional aesthetics, though some homes borrow inspiration from Mediterranean architecture. Most Arlington Terrace homes feature brick and wood (some brick veneer) or stucco exteriors.

The Memorial Park area was once a WWI-era army training camp. In 1924, the Hogg brothers acquired 1,503 acres of the former boot camp, intending to develop a residential neighborhood in the area.
Ultimately, they sold the parcel back to the city of Houston and decided to develop River Oaks instead.
Neighborhoods grew around the park, including Crestwood, Glen Cove, Camp Logan, Arlington Terrace, and Rice Military. Homes in the upscale gated subdivision were built between the early 1990s to the mid-2000s.
Today, Arlington Court boasts of luxury homes lined along its tree-lined winding streets.
Arlington Terrace residents have easy access to one of the largest urban parks in the country, Memorial Park. Spanning around 1,500 acres, the park features a top-rated municipal golf course, sports facilities (swimming, tennis, skating, croquet, volleyball, and softball), picnic areas, and playgrounds.
Miles of hike and bike trails (including the Seymour Lieberman Exercise Trail) of various surfaces and difficulties wind through the park. The trail network connects to the Buffalo Bayou Hike and Bike Trail that runs east to downtown.
The Memorial Park Golf Course is a popular destination within the park. The John Bredemus-designed 18-hole golf course features a 73 course rating and a 122 slope rating.
Residents also have easy access to some of Houston’s best dining, retail, and entertainment hotpots. The Washington Corridor, famed for its vibrant nightlife and dining hubs, is minutes away.
Retail centers like the Galleria, Uptown Park, River Oaks Shopping Center, and Highland Village are all within a short drive from Arlington Terrace homes.
