Golf has been a prominent feature in the Fall Creek area since the 1960s. El Dorado Country Club, with its 18-hole George Fazio-designed golf course, occupied the area from 1964 up until it closed in the early 1990s.
In 2002, the Redstone Golf Club opened on the site of El Dorado. Jacobsen-Hardy Golf Design was responsible for the course’s redesign. The original log-cabin style clubhouse was demolished and replaced with new clubhouse facilities and a restaurant. The club hosted the Shell Houston Open.
