Fulbrook Schools

Fulbrook is zoned to the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD).

Lamar Consolidated ISD covers most of Fort Bend County, including Richmond, Rosenberg, Simonton, and Fulshear. The Texas Education Agency gave LCISD a Met Standard rating. It was also named an H.E.B. Excellence in Education School District.

Elementary Schools

• Huggins Elementary School at 1 Huggins Dr. Home of the Hounds, Huggins ES is part of the LCISD and offers a Gifted and Talented program.

Middle Schools

• Leaman Junior High School at 9320 Charger Way. Established in 2016, it is one of the two newly opened LCISD schools. Leaman Junior High is named for Dean Leaman, a well-respected member of the community.

High Schools

• Fulshear High School at 9302 Bois D’Arc Ln. Opened in 2016, Fulshear High School is one of LCISD’s newest campuses. The new school serves Fulshear and Simonton. It was named for Churchill Fulshear, Jr., one of the area’s early settlers.

• Foster High School at 4400 FM 723 Rd. Named for early settlers John and Randolph Foster, the school features a great athletics program with teams for men’s and women’s soccer, track, and basketball. Foster High opened in 2001 as a relief school for Terry High and Lamar Consolidated High schools.

Fulbrook TX History

The area where Fulbrook now sits was primarily rural, covered with cattle and horse ranches. The FM 1093/Westpark Tollway expansion and several master-planned communities fueled growth in the Fulshear-Greater Katy area.

Fulbrook is one of the master-planned communities in the Fulshear area, with homes built between 2000 and 2017. Initially made up of 900 acres of land just outside the city of Fulshear, the community added 136 acres later on.

Trend Development, the same company behind Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek and Long Meadow Farms, developed the master-planned community. DHK Development, a developer and consultant, was also involved in the project until the community was handed over in 2012.

Today, Fulbrook’s estate-style homes are still quite popular, thanks to the community’s accessibility and active lifestyle amenities.

Fun Things to Do Near the Fulbrook

Fulbrook boasts 10 boat slips for canoes, kayaks, and other small craft, as well as a casting dock. This master-planned community also offers more amenities, such as a picnic area and a pavilion. Residents can enjoy Fulbrook’s trails, lakes, and 200 acres of open space.

For retail and dining options, residents can take a short drive to Fulshear’s small downtown area. Main Street offers a few options, including groceries, bars, and stores.
