Listed as one of the 50 top-selling master-planned communites in the US, Harvest Green is a 1,300-acre community located just west of Grand Parkway.
The community features a farm-centric and “homegrown” lifestyle. Harvest Green continues to be a popular option in the area, thanks to its:
Harvest Green real estate can be challenging to navigate, especially since it is relatively new (fewer resale homes) and features a number of builders (some are far superior than others). One of the newest developments along the Grand Parkway corridor, the community is also farther away from build out compared to nearby Aliana and Long Meadow Farms.

Nestled south and west of Grand Parkway, Harvest Green is a 1,300-acre master-planned community from Johnson Development.
The community’s master plan sets aside 300 acres for lakes, 280 acres for green space, 50 acres of parks, more than 17 miles for trails, and over 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
Harvest Green also has an on-site elementary school, Neill Elementary School, opened in 2017.
Harvest Green’s unique selling point is its working farm, where members of the Farm Club can rent a ready-to-plant plot. Spanning 12-acres, the Village Farm also includes vineyards and animal pens.
The community’s amenitiy center called the Farmhouse features swimming pools, a splashpad, a fully equipped fitness center, community rooms, an event lawn, an ampitheatre, and fishing docks.
Harvest Green is just north of Pecan Grove and west of Aliana. Other master-planned communities nearby include Fieldstone, Long Meadow Farms, and Texana Plantation.
The master-planned community sits along several key thoroughfares, including Grand Parkway, W Airport Boulevard, and Harlem Road.
The community is within a few minutes of Sugar Land (>10 miles), Richmond (>9 miles), and Katy (16 miles).

Harvest Green homes are zoned to Fort Bend Independent School District.
Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) covers a 170-square mile area and serves Sugar Land, Meadows Place, Harvest Green, Pearland, and some parts of Houston. The TEA gave the FBISD a “Recognized” rating and was named a National School District of Character in 2011 by the National Schools of Character Program.

Harvest Green homes are among the most popular in the Richmond/Fort Bend area. The farm-centric master-planned community ranked 41st in RCLCO’s 50 Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities in the U.S.
According to the real estate advisory firm, Harvest Green’s sales grew by 38%, with 175 homes sold in 2017 (vs. 127 in 2016).
Breaking ground in 2015, Harvest Green is still in development. Average list price is at just under $400,000 (around $120 per square foot).
Since Harvest Green is still quite new, there isn’t enough data to come up with reliable sales trends.

Harvest Green will feature over 2,500 single-family homes upon build out. The new construction master-planned community features homes built from 2015 onwards.
Due to the number of builders in the community, homebuyers can choose from a wide range of floor plans and home sizes. One-story and two-story homes with 3- to 5-bedroom floor plans are common.
Options range from D.R. Horton, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, MHI Homes, Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Trendmaker Homes and Westin Homes.
One-story homes in the community lean toward traditional/ranch designs with split bedroom plans (3 to 4 bedrooms with 2 to 3 full baths). Two-story Harvest Green homes mostly sport traditional aesthetics and many boast of first floor master bedrooms.
Mud rooms, backyard patios, attached 2-car garages, and spacious master suites and baths are common features.
The most expensive Harvest Green homes tend offer more living space, with game rooms, media rooms and studies.
Homebuyers can opt to add a backyard vegetable gardens that come in a variety of configurations.
Living spaces range from 1,800 to over 4,000 square feet, while lot sizes are between 6,000 to around 10,000 square feet.
Price-wise, Harvest Green homes for sale tend to start at around $240,000 (vs. Aliana’s $260,000 and Long Meadow Farm’s $200,000). The most expensive homes in the community sell for more than $600,000.
Harvest Green doesn’t feature any townhome options (as of this writing). There are few townhomes in the Rosenberg/Richmond area, though a few master-planned communities do offer some options.
Lakes of Bella Terra and Veranda have new construction townhomes for sale, featuring mostly two-story 3-bedroom units. Prices typically start at around $180,000.
There are no Harvest Green condos for sale.
Mid- and high-rise residential buildings aren’t popular in the Richmond area, though there are a few multi-family apartment developments along Grand Parkway.
Nearby Lakes of Bella Terra’s Parkside Bella Terra is a 342-unit apartment complex from Austin-based developer Odgen Hughes.
Sugar Land also features a mid-rise condo building called City Plaza at Town Square, a 4-story luxury condo.

Johnson Development is one of the most prolific developers in the Fort Bend area. The company’s portfolio includes Cross Creek Ranch, Imperial (Sugar Land), Jordan Ranch, Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, and Veranda.
Houston-based Studio RED Architects designed the community’s 9,600-square foot recreation center.
Several reputable developers signed up to build homes in the community, including D.R. Horton, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, MHI Homes, Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Trendmaker Homes and Westin Homes.
Harvest Green debuted in 2015. The first phase featured around 330 single-family homes, 65% of which was sold within the first year, according to the developer.
In 2016, the community opened 3 more neighborhoods, adding more than 250 homes. More neighborhoods are on the way – Harvest Green will feature 2,500+ homes upon completion.
In 2017, Harvest Green was included in RCLCO’s list of best-selling master-planned communities in the country.
The master-planned community is still among the most popular options in the Fort Bend/Richmond area thanks to its unique blend of farm-centric and community-centric amenities.
The Village Farm greets residents at the entrance of Harvest Green. The 12-acre “agriculture amenity” features a greenhouse, fields, and growing plots. The Village Farm also plays host to the community’s many events and festival, as well as its weekly Farmers Market.
Owned by the Harvest Green Homeowners Association and operated by Agmenity, the Village Farm has a composting area, animal pens (for the community’s goats and chickens), orchards, and vineyards. A commercial site has also been set aside in the area along Harlem Road.
Residents can sign up to Harvest Green’s Farm Club, a gardening and agriculture club. Members can grow their own produce on rented plots. Cooking and agricultural classes, tours, and a farmers market are held at the farm regularly.
Residents can also opt to join Loam Agronomics’ (a farm adjacent to Harvest Green) Community Shared Agriculture Program. CSA program members receive “shares” of fresh produce weekly, delivered straight to their doorsteps.
The Farmhouse at Harvest Green, the community’s rec center, offers a variety of activey lifestyle amenities, including resort-style pools and splashpad, fitness center and studio, an event lawn, a playground, an event hall, an ampitheatre, a lake and fishing docks.
The community’s lifestyle director organizes regular events, social groups, and workshops for the residents.
Harvest Green’s master-plan also sets aside 200,000+ square feet for retail and commercial purposes. A farm-to-table restaurant is also planned for the community.
Nearby retail and entertainment centers include the Market Place in Aliana and the Shops at Bella Terra, both along Grand Parkway.
