Memorial Green TX History

The Memorial Green project started in 2014. It was when Midway acquired the 14-acre vacant property along Memorial Drive.

Houston-based Midway is also the developer behind CityCentre. It is a mixed-use development a mile from the site.

Midway's original master plan included high-class establishments. This includes luxury apartments, a 4-story office building, and 57 luxury homes.

The developer revised their plans in 2015. The team opted for more single-family homes, boutique office spaces, and ground-level retail.

Before the luxury development, the area was a senior living facility. The land stayed vacant for 15 years after the facility's demolition.

Fun Things To Do Near Memorial Green Houston

Memorial Green is a mixed-use development neighborhood. It offers retail and dining outside the gated residential community.

Tenants get to enjoy the community's 25,000-square foot leasable retail space. Pioneer stores include Minuti Coffee, Dish Society, and Vine Wine Room.

Lantern Lane is a shopping mall with over 80,000 square feet of space. It is located across the street from Memorial Green.

Its anchors include Total Wine and CVS. Other popular destinations within the retail center include The Union Kitchen and Starbucks.
