Parkway Villages is a 224-acre community from Sueba USA. It opened in the early 1990s and features over 550 single-family homes.
Like most planned communities in west Houston/Energy Corridor area, the neighborhood was built in sections. Parkway Villages features 15 smaller communities, some of which are gated enclaves.
Parkway Villages sits directly north of another Sueba USA development, Lakes of Parkway. It is north of Briar Forest Drive, west of Eldridge Parkway, south of Buffalo Bayou and Terry Hershey Park, and east of Briarhills.
Main roads and freeways are easily accessible from the neighborhood, including Briar Forest Drive, Eldridge Parkway, Memorial Drive, Texas 6, Interstate 10, and Westheimer Road. Beltway 8 is around 5 miles away from Parkway Villages homes.
Thanks to its central location within the Energy Corridor/west Houston area, residents have short commutes to several key districts, including Westchase, Memorial City, and the Galleria.

Parkway Villages is made up of around 550 single-family homes built between 1993 and 2003. Many Parkway Villages homes have been updated.
Some homes in the neighborhood are within gated communities. Some lakefront properties are also available in Enclave Lakes.
Homes in the community typically feature 2- to 5-bedroom floor plans with living spaces ranging from 1,800 to more than 6,000 square feet. One- and two-story homes are available. Common features include two-car garages, covered patios, wooded front lawns, and high ceilings.
The most expensive Parkway Villages homes can offer 3 to 5 bedroom options, with spacious master suites and swimming pools. Many feature various upgrades.
Parkway Villages homes feature traditional or Mediterranean aesthetics, with brick and wood, brick veneer or cement board exteriors.

There are no townhomes within Parkway Villages. There are a number of townhome options available in nearby Energy Corridor and other neighborhoods.
Sueba USA has several townhome, patio home, and multi-family home developments in west Houston, including Baldwin Square, Briarbrook Townhomes. Westwind Townhomes is also nearby.
There are no Parkway Villages condos for sale. There are however, some units available (midrise developments) in nearby areas including the Energy Corridor, Memorial City, and Westchase.

Prior to the early 1990s, the land where Parkway Villages now sit was part of the Barnhart tract, a vacant lot that was previously a cattle ranch.
Sueba USA, in partnership with Hypo Bank of Munich, acquired the tract in 1993, originally intending to develop an office park on the 500+ acre land. Instead, the company opted to develop two residential communities Parkway Villages and Lakes of Parkway (a gated community) along with a commercial area at the corner of Briar Forest Drive and Eldridge Parkway.
Parkway Villages, Sueba USA’s first single-family home development, was built out in 2003.
Today, Parkway Villages is a popular community, thanks to its great schools, central location, and high accessibility.
Residents are minutes away from several outdoor entertainment, retail, dining, and nightlife options.
Parkway Villages Shopping Center, also a Sueba USA development, features more than 100,000-square feet of leasable space. The retail center features Walgreens, Kroger, and several cafes and restaurants. Other options are available along Eldridge Parkway and Texas 6.
West Oaks Mall is also a short drive away. The shopping center features over 1 million square feet of retail space and anchor stores include Dillards, Fortis College, Macy’s, Palais Royal, and Sears.
Other key retail centers like Memorial City Mall and CityCenter Plaza are also nearby.
For outdoor entertainment, Parkway Villages residents have easy access to Terry Hershey Park, which runs just north of the community.
Terry Hershey Park is a 500-acre park that stretches from Texas 6 to Beltway 8. It also branches out north to Interstate 10. The park features a butterfly garden, lighted walking trails, hike and bike trails, a playground, and fishing areas and a boat launch. The park’s dirt trails, called the Anthills, is a popular destination for mountain bike enthusiasts.
George Bush Park is located just west of Parkway Villages. The 7,800-acre country park features several sports fields (soccer, baseball, and softball), pavilions, playgrounds, ponds, and nature trails. The park’s trail network connects to Terry Hershey Park’s trails.
