Not only did we love the realtors that we personally interacted with, but we had a whole team of support at Houston properties. Everyone was very professional and friendly and made sure we were always up to speed. 10/10 would recommend!” - Michelle Riley (Google Review)

Riverstone TX History

Samuel M. Williams and his brother Nathaniel settled on "Oakland Plantation" then. Its name is after the many oaks that grow on the property. Williams' plantation had corn, cotton, and sugarcane.

In 1853, Colonel E. H. Cunningham bought the 12,500-acre plantation. He built a sugar refining plant and a town on it.

In 1908, the partners purchased the Cunningham Plantation. The sale included a sugar mill and refinery. It resulted in the rise of the Imperial Sugar Company and the town that grew around it. Presently, the area is called Sugar Land.

The form of government has since shifted to council-manager. Several master-planned communities have developed.

Sugar Land South is still thriving today. It now serves as the location of several corporate headquarters and master-planned communities, including Riverstone.
