Rosenberg has a long history, going back to 1823. Back then, it wasn't called Rosenberg, it had the rather unfortunate nickname "Mudtown."
The town got a new name, Rosenberg, which came from Henry von Rosenberg. He was the first president of Colorado and Santa Fe Railway.
