Sienna Plantation is a 10,000-acre master-planned community in Missouri City by Johnson Development. One of the Best Master Planned Communities in Houston, Sienna Plantation is also among the top Houston neighborhoods in home sales.
The community is popular for its excellent Fort Bend ISD schools, resort-style amenities, expansive parks and trails, and availability of homes at a wide range of price points.

Buying a home in Sienna Plantation means having access to a wide array of amenities, many of which encourage an active lifestyle.
Like most master-planned communities from Johnson Development, Sienna Plantation offers a wide variety of resort-style community amenities. The 10,800-acre community features around 3,000 acres of green space (parks, recreational spaces, lakes, open spaces, and golf areas).

During Hurricane Harvey, the levees and pumps protecting the Sienna Plantation worked well but were simply overwhelmed by the large volume of rain. This caused flooding in about 65 of its 7,700 houses, most of which were homes near the Brazos River (running west of Sienna Plantation’s western border, in Sienna Village of Waters Lake) and on the southeast side in Sienna Point.
After careful evaluation of the rare event, the Sienna Plantation Levee Improvement District (SPLID) has made improvements to reduce future risks of flooding, including deploying pumps with 80,000 gallons per minutes (gpm) of pumping capacity to increase the area’s pump capacity by 30%, and designing a new 270,000 gpm pump station.
