Silvercreek TX History

Silvercreek is part of a larger community called Pearland. It is possible to trace the history of Silvercreek roots by looking back to Pearland's history.
The area currently known as Pearland was formerly known as "Mark Belt," after a local landowner.

Polish aristocrat Withold von Zychlinski purchased a sizable plot of land in 1892 and established a town site on either side of the railroad tracks. They planted fruits around the area to further advertise its housing sites. "Pear-Land" had been platted officially in 1894.

Today, Silvercreek residences offer a community with cul-de-sac roadways and little traffic.
