• Buckalew Elementary at 4909 W. Alden Bridge Dr. Ranked #89 in Texas Elementary Schools. A winner of the Texas Comptroller’s ‘Texas Honor Circle Award.'

• Bush Elementary at 7420 Crownridge Dr. Bush Elem, named after former First Lady of the US, Barbara Pierce Bush. Its mission is to nurture students to become empowered and lifelong learners.

• Creekside Forest Elementary at 5949 Creekside Forest Dr. Creekside is the first Tomball ISD built in the Woodlands. Recognized with Texas Education Agency's Exemplary rating.

• Creekview Elementary at 8877 W New Harmony. Ranked #295 in Texas Elementary Schools. Creekview Elementary School is in a fringe rural setting.

• David Elementary at 5301 Shadowbend Pl. David Elem, named after David, the Bubble Boy. He touched millions of hearts without ever leaving his sterile, plastic bubble.

• Galatas Elementary (Spring) at 9001 Cochrans Crossing Dr. Galatas Elem is in honor of Roger L. Galatas. He was a past president of the Board of Trustees for the Conroe ISD.

• Powell Elementary (Conroe) at 7332 Cochran’s Crossing Dr. Powell offers a Gifted and Talented program, Family carnival, and Book fairs. It ranked #195 among Texas Elementary Schools.

• Sally Ride Elementary (Spring) at 4920 Panther Creek Dr. It is a PK 4 institution. The school has a rating of 8/10 on GreatSchools.org.

• Sam Hailey Elementary at 12051 Sawmill Rd. The school has engaging campus programs. Students achieve their fullest potential as the school mission supports positive learning experiences.

• Timber Creek Elementary at 8455 Creekside Green Dr. Timber Creek ranks 2nd among Tomball ISD elementary schools. This school is Tomball ISD’s second school built in The Woodlands.

• Tough Elementary (Spring) at 11660 Crane Brook Dr. The school has fascinating programs offered. Tough Elementary also has a business partnership with HEB – Indian Springs.

Middle Schools

• Knox Jr High (Spring) at 12104 Sawmill Rd. Knox has exciting programs, such as Color Guard, Cross country, and Gingham Girls. The school also has interesting clubs to choose from.

• Mccullough Jr High at 3800 S. Panther Creek Dr. Mccullough offers Dungeons and Dragons and Highlander Huddle. It also offers McCullough Charity League and Origami Club.

High Schools

• Woodlands College Park High school at 3701 College Park Dr. The school offers over 130 electives and more than 60 different clubs. TW College Park High School also has a strong academic program offers.

• Woodlands High at 6101 Research Forest Dr. The school has an athletic program that offers participation in 15 different competitive sports. Students can join the band, choir, debate, drama, orchestra, or cheerleading.

Condos are a new addition to The Woodlands’ housing options. It includes One Lake’s Edge and The Millennium Six Pines Condos.

The Woodlands TX History

A brainchild of tycoon George P. Mitchell, Woodlands started as a suburban development. The master-planned community opened in 1974.

The Woodlands Corporation was under Mitchell Energy & Development. In 2011, it belonged to the Howard Hughes Development Corporation.

The community has 9 distinct districts called villages. Two of these are named after Grogan-Cochran Lumber Mill, which used to occupy the area.
Since its opening, The Woodlands has grown many residential and commercial developments.

Today, The Woodlands is home to many companies, neighborhoods, and gated communities. It features outdoor entertainment venues, golf courses, and retail centers.
