Woodforest TX History

Woodforest's history began with Johnson Development Corp. They envisioned a new master-planned community with a small-town feel.

The chosen site was 3,000 acres of wooded terrain near Woodforest Golf Club. The goal was to build a retreat amidst the trees, preserving the natural beauty.

Construction started in late 2007. By 2009, Fish Creek Thoroughfare provided easy access to Woodforest and neighboring areas. This led to growth and an influx of eager homebuyers.

Today, Woodforest presents a forested landscape with distinctive homes built by renowned builders. The community is now home to a variety of housing options. These include single-family homes, townhomes, luxury patio homes, and custom homes.
